I know layout changes can cause stress and upset to some folks so I am giving people a heads up now that this is coming.

I willing be working on an update to the pasture page in the next week or two to make it easier to use, require less scrolling, and be more mobile friendly. It will end up looking more like the barn pages but have some additional functionality. It will no longer have the images, genetic papers or pedigree information listed. To see those you will need to open the pasture in the search.

That said I will be allowing some more bulk management options to be used in the pasture.

If you have any suggestions of things you want to see on a pasture page update, or comments about things you really don't want to see feel free to post them. (Before anyone asks no I will not be keeping the old pasture page as an option.)

Just wanting to check, could it show phenotype, papers, PT, and AFPT like the barn pages? I think that would make my pasture use much more frequent, as I typically only throw surro recip mares into there.

My only request is when I switch between pastures, the tabbed box at the bottom stays on the tab I'm using. Those extra clicks add up fast.

Can you explain what you mean by "The tabbed box at the bottom" I am not sure exactly what you are referring too. Is this a current thing in the game you are talking about?

Things I'd like to see are bulk naming and appearance (tack) options. I'd also like for papers to remain. One thing I still miss that used to be possible (if I remember correctly) was the stallion dropdown list where you could add stallions directly from within the pasture page.

I'm just assuming that pastures will act more like barns with a box at the bottom for options. Currently I wish it would stay on testing when I'm testing, so I'm hoping if we get pasture options, they stay on the tab I'm using.

When I use those tabs now it does stay on the one I am using. Unless the page is refreshed every time you test I'm not sure how the tab is changing between tests

Could the pastures tab change color if foals are still present in them on the 24th? That way I know which pastures I missed when the notice comes up that foals need to be removed. Or could the pastures with foals in them be listed under the warning on the 24th?

I find it helpful to see pedigree info when I'm moving foals out of a Pasture because sometimes I forget if the name on my Pasture refers to the generation of the Foal or the mares. But if you show only the studs name that would still help.

I will have to remove the pedigree information as that slows loads. You will need to use the search to select them if doing that.

I miss not being able to add the horses of choice at the pasture level, a major change lost in a previous revision. Is there a possibility of that returning? (to replicate Roseflute's request)

No. That caused all sorts of issues and caused people's pages to crash. People simply own too many horses for us to be pulling up lists like that on every pasture page load.

Could we have a naming feature within pastures so foals can have the prefix put on before being moved into a barn since I know I'm not the only one who forgets which pasture they just emptied, and which barn they went in

Yes, I am adding a lot of the bulk management features to the pasture page and that will be part of it.

I had to take a break from this project for the June event stuff but I am back too it.

I am considering removing the automatic foal sell back feature. I think most people don't use it and it causes more headache for players then benefits. Adding in a bulk option future would replace that functionality. What do you think? Are you cool with removing auto foal sell back?

What about the automatic breeding part? Does it make more sense to always have to push the button to create foals in the pasture? It would reduce server costs and make this update easier of that was the case.

By removing the autoselll back feature, what will happen to foals who are still on pasture when the month finishes?

Honestly auto breeding pastures has only ever tripped me up (i used to keep stallions in pastures). It's a feature I wouldn't miss since I have to open the pasture to remove the foals/check the stock anyway.

I've noticed when opening the larger pastures, you get a little loading text when it's loading up the foals at the bottom of the page. This is helpful because you can wait for it to dissappear before clicking select all to move them to a barn. I'd appreciate the same on the mares as it takes a while to load them all in. I often click select all, then scroll to the bottom to select a barn to move them to. Then realise they hadn't all loaded so have to scroll back to the top and click select all again. Then back to the bottom to click the barn again. It gets pretty tedious when I'm running slow internet

They would sit there until the pasture was over filled in which case it would stop breeding.

I never use auto breeding except by accident.
And I've forgotten foals in pasture before, so I vote for removal of the automatic foal sellback.
I'm on board with all the changes you've suggested so far.

Getting rid of auto breeding would make it easier to make sure I have my studs changed out every month. I also don't need auto sell if we have an option to send everything to auction.

Edit to add, the thing with the tab switching back to stall management in my primary barn seems to have resolved since the app came out. I can't make it happen anymore.

I never use the auto sell nor auto breed, so removing them, especially if it makes things easier on the administrators, would be absolutely fine by me.

I don’t use autosell or autobreed either so wouldn’t have any issues with them being removed.

I really don’t use the auto sell (stresses me out sometimes, trying to get the foals in time with how busy life has become) and I don’t use the auto-breed, instead choosing to manually breed in the pasture when I want to (versus embryo recip mares, which is my usual function).
