Special Gene Sales

On the 1st and 15th of every month a random set of 5 genes is selected for a special sale. You can add this gene to a horse of your choice. You will also receive a license for that gene allowing you to purchase and breed horses with that gene. You never know what gene will come up next or how long they will stick around.

You may modify the genetics of any horse you own that is a foundation, unbred, and gene tested. To make the horse homozygous for a gene, add strand one to the cart, then return to this page to add strand two. For a complete list of RGS alleles click here.

Kit Promoter

Gene Example and Info: When there are two KIT mutations present and two copies of KP a cascade failure in pigment can occur resulting in completely random white markings. Size is influenced by white factor. This gene has no sharing restrictions.

Pangare Plus

Gene Example and Info: Pangare plus is a variant of the pangare gene that causes more extensive lightening on the face and belly of horses. Two copies have a more dramatic effect than one copy. This gene has no sharing restrictions.

PDR Belton Spotting

Gene Example and Info: Pigment density regulator is one of several factors that regulate the amount of pigment a horse produces. It reduces the overall amount of white caused by pinto genes and can cause freckles of color to appear in white areas. Two copies of the Belton allele (Bl) have a more dramatic freckled appearance than one copy. Can appear with any pinto markings, but produces the most freckles with tobiano. This gene has no sharing restrictions.

Phantom Heart

Gene Example and Info: Phantom Heart will add separate hearts of both dark and light areas of a horse. It requires only one copy to show. Can be hidden by appaloosa markings. Gene Example and Info: Phantom Lace will add lace patterns over the whole body of a horse. It also shows through KIT, splash and frame markings. It requires only one copy to show. Rainbow Riot Paintbrush Cool

Gene Example and Info: The paintbrush fantasy genes will paint a horse's mane and tail with streaks of color. One copy of Warm or Cool adds one color, two copies of Warm or Cool adds two different colors. Prism adds a rainbow effect. Only requires only copy to show but it is more vivid with two copies. Note: Paintbrush will only show if added to the primary DNA set on chimeric horses. It does not show on secondary DNA. This gene is closed.
