Appy color changes question
-
I know that snowflakes will white out over time, but do varnishes do it too?
-
Yes varnish is a progressive roaning.

Ok thanks :)

Nebulous Galaxy
When I got her she was more brown than white, kind of a galaxy coloration. Now she's almost white. -
Breeding brown/liver/black with white spotting drafts. If you ever fancy straws PM me. PM me if you need help with GE.
-
You can still kind of see patches on her. Cool. I didn't know varnish did that :)Thanked by 1Dinascar

It's kind of pretty. And I have seen it in real-life too with my chestnut appy Clydesdale X (pos roan? as well) who is now 19 and gets slightly whiter each year. :)Breeding brown/liver/black with white spotting drafts. If you ever fancy straws PM me. PM me if you need help with GE.

All of my horses are still pretty young, so I don't see a lot of changes in them yet, even the grays. The varnish appies are just a tad more roaned and I was wondering if it was a fluke or if it was suppose to happen.

On a somewhat related note, I added Axiom to a gray. Will she continue to change, and go from being mostly red to mostly black as she ages or will she stay the same now that she's technically not gray anymore?
