I'm wanting to design my first tattoo but I want it to look fairly realistic as a brand. Does anyone have tattoos like that they can post examples of?

One way to make them look more realistic I would say to use the transparency. Here are two of my tattoo's. my Whiskey Oaks tattoo the circle is at 15% transparency and the WO is at 28%. My DP tattoo is set at 30%.

I often use simple shapes with a dark and a light line so that they show up on different colored horses.

This horse is showing off my At tattoo for brown carriers on his hip, and the Delta Phi I use for Dense Pheomelanin on his shoulder. The tattoo on his thigh is the tattoo of his breeder.

My Light Horse and Pony tattoo, like the ones by Whiskey Oaks, uses transparency to help it blend in with the horse's coat.

Here it is on a white horse, with the DP tattoo on the shoulder as well.

Here are what mine look like. The difference between my mares and stallions is one has a tattoo at the lower right the other at the left and one if vertical the other horizontal and they are different colors. I just redid my tattoos before the server "reset". All my tattoos were done by me :)

Transparency is a really fun thing to play with--and it does look much better/realistic on a horse's coat. :)

For my RH line, I went with a pair of feathers, because they're "light as a feather". XD

My newest tattoo is a work in progress, but right now it's for my show string. It's my ID number on their neck. :)

All of these guys also show my brand tattoo, which I try to put on every horse I breed so I can keep track of who is where. :) It's set at 30-40% transparency, I think!

@bluevalley I love that id# on the neck idea. It reminds me of BLM mustangs. :)

I wanted my tattoo to look like a brand im still thinking about adding a new tattoo not sure yet if I do a Nexus line I definitely will have a tattoo for it haha

@RobbinsRoost, yes, they are! I am not artistically inclined when it comes to that little box, but some players have fantastic patience and creativity and they create these incredible tattoos.

made it a little bigger and outlined it, trying to make it show up on dark and light colors. :/
looks good on white and light colors, but not black/dark colors.
