So I was reading some forum topics on genes, and one caught my eye. What is dp?

DP stands for Dense Pheomelanin. In a nut shell it makes red horses very dark. When combined with other sooty genes you get colors like Liver chestnut, black liver chestnut and chocolate palomino. Here is a link to the gene guide
