Offline hype train!
  • Just like my post about in game successes. I want to make a post where people can brag about their offline fun and successes! Even small things count here.

I'll start: I've been able to conserve my spoons (chronic illness unit of energy) better and as a result am working on painting my first model horse. I finally have enough energy to do more than work and sleep.

  • I'll take a minute to celebrate what I'm doing while I save every penny for the lab sale. Good job on the creativity Silverborn. I can't wait to see your finish.

Today is the day I finally feel comfortable on my e spinner. I should have enough by the end of the day to try my hand at plying. If the next 3-4 days go well I can start using the fiber for project #1.

Check out Seaswell Fancy LC chat for mixed fantasy studs.

  • I need a second job asap to keep my apartment after a year of crises and I just got two interviews!

  • I recently prioritized my health - at the urging of my medical team - and have medically retired from FT work. My quality of life has improved and I'm so grateful. I started therapeutic riding recently after not being on a horse in years, today I actually felt organized and capable in posting trot, when in past lessons I've felt all over the place.

And I won my first workmanship awards this year with the model horses I paint! (*)

  • Weird thing to hype about, but I finally got disability from the start of the year. That is not really something I feel hyped about (although very relieved), but after having a very limited income these last years, our house has been pretty much going from emergency repair to emergency repair, of which there has been a LOT. Now, I am both making a little more every month, and I also had a pretty good insurance, meaning we can finally fix things that need fixing, like draining of the foundation, the electricity (we've had small things fixed, and have already found TWO places where there were screws straight through cables), and our bathroom. And it is literally making me want to cry, because we've been so worried something major major would happen, and we would have ended up having to sell at a loss.

  • I saw seedlings in 2 of the winter sowing jugs before the cold snap! Not worried, they're native perennials designed for our "Made you look!" period between February and April Fool's Day (aka March). At least 10 varieties of the yearlings that are already in ground also have early leaves! I really hope this is a great flower year after the drought years we've had! Also halfway into getting back on track for visiting 2 different states every year until I've seen something beautiful in all of them. :) Last year was a rebuild year and a study of how the logistics of Michigan and Colorado worked and what didn't work. This year is a plan to add in the Finger Lakes region of New York and Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Here's hoping for a good year to be turning 40!
