Quitting Game - What to do with horses?
-
Hi everyone, its with a heavy heart that I need to step away from the game for a bit. I have worked very hard on my lines, but the past few months have been absolutely bonkers crazy busy for me. I didn't participate in the summer or the winter gift giving, which I had been anxious/excited to do last year. This month really sealed the deal for me as I didn't even breed and manage my foals. The pasture auto-bred for me and they are all still sitting in the pastures. I just can't even bring up the motivation to go look at them.
This brings me to why I am posting in the help section. What should I do with my horses? Is there a way to "pause" the game so that my lines don't potentially die off without me knowing? I don't know how long I will be away if I am being completely honest. Should I sell them all off? I would hate for them to just age out without anyone getting a benefit from them. Is there some secret third option that I don't know about? Or what would you do in this situation? Please let me know and I hope you are all doing well.I love draft horses! -
I would grab eggs/straws/embryos from any lines you really like and just let the rest of your horses just keep paying you hbs every day. That way if you ever do come back you can restart you lines right where you left on and you will have many millions to fund things.
If your lines are young it will take multiple real life years for them to all age out of the game.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

I have just returned to the game after being away for over a year.
I regret not selling on my GMT'd foundies as they were very much wasted just ageing out on my account.
I left my pastures stocked, but with older mares/stallions lots of them stopped producing foals quickly and I lost out on potential money earned.
I went a few months without signing in at all, and had reached cap hbs so lost alot of money that way. I'd reccomend signing in once a month or so, just to switch your hbs to IVs.
Pull eggs/straws from the top mare and stallion of each line, and your favourites. You'll soon recouperate the hbs spent with show money, and it means you can pretty much come back where you left off.Thanked by 1Ammit -
Thank you both! I appreciate it. I didn't consider the straws/eggs feature. I will do that now and then maybe put the rest of the breeding stock up for sale. I'll keep my show horses and login once a month to convert the hbs to ivs, that is also a great idea.I love draft horses!
