Trying to figure out which Gene should go on witch horse
  • Hey guys so I have decided to splurge over the next month or so and add a few gene to a few of my different horses
I know which her horses I want to edit but I don't know what geness would show up and I would really not want to make a mistake of putting a gene on the same that cancels each other out so in the comments below I'm going to post five stallions and I'm trying to figure out which ones would be good candidates for the following genes
    Skewed Appaloosa
    Chinchilla
    Harlequin
Phantom critter print (which it says it comes out in January I'm really hoping that's true)
    And mushroom
I just need to get some other people's experience and advice on this and which would be better with the Harlequin it says that it's hom lethal but that would mean two strands would be lethal so I did a quick horse search and found quite a few that have two strands I'm kind of confused on that I'll be commenting the stallions below

  • Harlequin requires silver or merle to show. It will not show on any of these horses.

Skewed appaloosa is dominate and does not require appaloosa to show. It looks beast with blanket appaloosas not leopards. Avoid it with nose to tail leopard appaloosas.

All phantom genes require pinto markings to show and are hidden by appaloosa. It will not show on any of these horses.

Most players prefer chinchilla on horses with the E gene (not e/e).

Mushroom shows best on e/e horses and on lighter bays.

So this guy could carry a few different options correct?
  • Chinchilla will turn e/e horses completely white meaning nothing else you add will show if you do chinchilla on a liver chestnut.

  • See and this is why I have to help because otherwise I would have done that and it wouldn't have worked very well so going with a E/e would be okay?
I'm going through and trying to save the genetic markers of my favorite color lines so I don't have to constantly remember but thank you for your help again. You are appreciated
