The real horse world baffles me.

I was reading information on a horse from a page on Facebook where the owner specified, "This girl is a palomino with appaloosa spots that are buckskin."
A few posts down, someone comments a horse saying, "This is a blue roan" mind you, the horse has a very bright red mane and tail, and nearly as bright lower legs.
=)) :))Love,

@Ammit, I forgot to add the best comment by the "blue roan" owner. They specified that the foal the breeder pictured likely wouldn't stay a "black appaloosa", because "true black appaloosas are rare, and most are varnish or roan so not actually black". :))Love,

I'm getting flashbacks to that palomino (mis)information article. And not good ones lol. Sadly there are always people who think they are 100% correct. And people who will correct these people with wrong information, who also think they're 100% correct...Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

I breed dogs in real life, and have gotten into some good fights over color genetics :))
-
Haha @walywoohoo same here - especially in a breed with merle- it’s a poo-show way too often.
-
@Walywoohoo Oh yeah, not even the genetics at times, just what the name is! Animal people are just something else...Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

Was it going to mature to 15.5 hands too

Just step into the reptile world where people tell me all day long that "this is a line bred color, there are no genetics to it"... Like if genetics weren't involved then how would it be line bred? It should be as likely to pop up with any paring whatsoever. XDAll into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.

If genetics weren't involved, how is it living? xD Like those people who try and sell soap or other products with "No chemicals!"Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
