I'm really not a fan that numerous clubs bar fantasy genes, because they're so spread amongst my herd. But there was a vote on Facebook I believe and that was the outcome.

This change happened the day the fantasy club was created maybe 7 plus years ago? (ETA: I remember the Fantasy Club rules being created back on the old forum. We moved to this forum in Feb of 2014. I also have not touched. My file records also show I have not touched that page since Sep 20th of this year when I did a minor bug fix. ) This isn't new at all. There has never been a vote on this. The poll BlueValley is thinking of was about Collectable sized horses. Fantasy horses were not removed from the era clubs. They have never been in them.

This is nota fantasy game. I have fantasy genes because they help pay the bills but they go against the core ethos of the game, genetic realism. Having fantasy horses have their own club is the compromise that was made with members all those years ago when fantasy genes were added to keep fantasy genes from taking over the game and completely wiping out any realism. However, I have greatly expanded the number of clubs fantasy horses can enter in this past year. The new changes add seven times the number of clubs for fantasy horses. I didn't penalize members I rewarded them for supporting the game by giving them more clubs. :(

I always try to do right by members, and always try my best to make things fair. I never would have made a change like this and just not told people. This post is incredibly sad for me to read.

If you would like to exchange the genes you purchased for a different in-game item or move them to different horses I can help you do that.

I specifically remember when we added the no fantasy genes in the era clubs clearly because people had already filled the era clubs with ice gene horses. What I did at that time was grandfather in any already registered horses. Only new hom. registrations were barred. It took maybe six months or a year before fantasy horses were completely barred so that people had plenty of time to breed the genes out of any LB era lines. That's how I handled it exactly because I respect my members. I worked with them because treating people right is important to me.


I am sure some of the older members can remember this happening.

There have certainly been bugs in the past where there were ways to get horses into eras. This is some code from Feb of 2017 barring all fantasy genes in the game at the time from any club that was not the fantasy club.

This has been the rule for many years. I am so sorry if a bug in our code caused you to think fantasy horses were allowed in era clubs. That was only true for about a year after clubs came out. I don't know how those horses you have are in the era club as we have clean-up code that should have booted them. Clearly there is another bug. As I said above I always try to do the best I can by members. I always try to make things right. I am happy to work with you.

I have helped you many times when you have been upset before. I should like to think I have at least earned a basic benfit of the doubt by now. I am willing to work with you now. Just as I always have.

It’s not your fault it’s just my life lmao. I just don’t know what I’m gonna do now because none of my horses can be used for eras. I understand fantasy being barred from color clubs but don’t understand eras. But semantics.

Also sorry I’m cranky because I was too stressed out to sleep last night. Once I’m home from work I’ll take a look at everything my again. I know I have lots of horses in clubs that shouldn’t be.
