is this the same as a national riding horse? I want to stick to one breed until I get used to things

FR7452870 -
“Breed” names are a perk of having an upgraded account. Any horse you breed will have the “National” handle unless you choose to upgrade and create your own “breed” name. If you bought this horse, it’s babies would be National whatever’s or your own breed name once you get one. It makes absolutely no difference to anything in game.

(Horses you buy that have a “breed” name from another player will retain that breed name, however. They will not revert to being a National horse just because you now own them.)

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure it was the same breed and not a warmblood or something else. I can't tell from the pictures they all look the same to me (poor eyesight)

So top tip: riding horses/ponies will have a bone weight under 1.5, and draft/cobs will have a bone weight of 2.5 or more. In between is Warmbloods and sport ponies. This can be helpful in the Horse Search as well since you can search for horses in a specific bone weight range.Thanked by 1Akerin

We have three main pictures of horses which are determined by bone size, which Cheers described in detail. Those three images vary in size depending on the horses hight.
In this game we don’t have ‘breeds’ like we do in real life, aka Arabian, Appaloosa, Thoroughbred, Clydesdale, and so on (this game is more about color than breed). I personally look at the different breed names more like a permanent brand or name piece from the breeder they come from. Kinda like how some different well known ranches will put an abbreviation in the name of any foal they register. Like Treasure State Quarter horses, their foals usually have TS in their registered name, as well as their brand. Instead of brands we have tattoos, but those can be removed by the owner. The ‘breed’ name cannot be removed. I hope that helps.Thanked by 1Akerin -
I put abbreviations on my horses. All names start with Ak's; only without the apostrophy since it isn't allowed :)
I should add Ak's comes from a game I play where I have an animal reserve and Ak's stands for All Kinds :) :)
