Yellow Papered Rank Special?
-
Almost didn't paper this girl, since as a rank special, she should be either perfect foundation or exceptional? Right? She papered yellow, the second yellow I've ever gotten. That is below red, right? I don't know how that happened. I usually leave rank special horses out of my mare quality culls because I know they are good, but with this and the lower foal PT scores I am wondering if she has to go. Does anyone know anything about this? All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.

Copeid it and forgot to paste! Thanks! All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps. -
One stud comparison tested aga a perfect foundation, one stud is an exceptional, and one stud is one of Cheer's boys. I don't think it would be stallion quality bringing her down. All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.

That does seem weird maybe I would ask Ammit.

Ive had a couple rank special mares paper yellow. I forget why, though.

youre pretty clearly not using the pasture bonus for this girl given the low PT scores of two of her foals. I would say you've just been unlucky and gotten 2 foals from close to the bottom of her breeding ability range. If you can, I would throw her in the pasture to gain the full bonus before you breed her next season, but that only works if you own a stallion you want to breed her to.
Remember that previous experiment of breeding Perfect Foundations to perfect foundations resulted in a PT range of 8.9-10.4? She's got a 9.0, a 9.4 and a 10.2... so she just gave you 2 foals lower in her range.Thanked by 1SummertreeFarms -
Ok. Yea, she wasn't in pasture. I am trying to cull some of my mares so I can put a larger percentage in my pasture again. I just bred 150 mares... LOL Spayed some today and there are a few I will probably try to sell since the PT scores of their foals aren't too bad, just not quite what I arbitrarily decided I liked, could just be bad luck like this gal. I feel bad, Cheers, because a couple of the younger gals I got from you look like they will be on the list. Not trying to flip horses, but since you wanted players to be able to use them I want to give them another chance. I really need to reduce my mare numbers though, and have already spayed several of mine that haven't met requirements. All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.
