Should I mass flush her next year ?
-
I found this gem I apparently forgot I had (to many broke phones ) kind of feel horrible bc I remember getting some eggs for a foal from the sire, breed my mare and wham busted phone # 200 and something and now she's up in age and I wanna share her, hopefully y'all can use her baby's better than my luck lol
-
She’s only 16 so she has 4 months still I wouldn’t be interested as my mare to stallion ratio is out of control51430
-
@hiddenGenetics so I should just probably save and wait to flush?
-
Others might be interested but I would wait it doesn’t hurt to flush her now just hang on to one of her foals so you can still use her eggs51430
-
@hiddengenetics wow didn't know I had to keep a foal makes more sense to me now why it wasn't working right with other mares
-
Once she passes the game doesn’t know who she is unless a foal is holding on to her linage :)51430

Thank u

You only have her guaranteed next season. Once a horse turns 17, they are at risk at aging out every rollover after. If you are wanting her to contribute to your lines, I would pull eggs every 5 days next season, then flush at the end to get as many eggs as possible.

@FallenShadows714
Thank you! I'll do that,
Also show horses? What makes it a profitable show horse? I understand the constant part but I don't get how you make good money on show horses mine don't make me much, does it have to do with daily pay out? -
You don’t know what will make a horse a profitable show horse, your best bet is to try to keep as many foals as you can that get snipped and make sure they train every week and get shown twice a week. The horse levels off with training when their age reaches their PT score, so the higher their PT score the longer they train, which means they can reach higher showing levels which gives more points = more HBs.
Finding pointed creates in auction is good, you can get them fairly cheap and just hang onto them, again making sure they train each week and get their two shows. They will give your daily bonus a boost until the foals get their feet under them and can start earning their keep. Also finding those higher PT foals and yearlings that get put in auction will help, not at first but later when they are bringing in lots of points. -
Consistency really isn’t even a good thing to look for, because a horse can be consistent but be a consistently bad shower. Your inconsistent horses can come in first in one show, and dead last in the next.
-
And to throw onto that, high PT doesn’t 100% of the time mean they’ll level out in a good place, and quantity also effects your show herd. Three 9.90 PT horses usually will end up bringing you in more than one 11 PT horse. In other words, save up for barns and fill them with showers, not breeders, and you’ll be set. I have 2 1000 stall barns of show ponies and between them and the breeders that are sitting around in barns and auto-showing anyways, I have a 300k/night bonus. Most people recommend 3-1 showers to breeders if you want to fund your breeding with enough to spare. I have more like a 1-1, but I only breed a portion of them each year and the rest of the breeders are sitting in barns acting like showers until it’s their year, so in practice it’s probably more like 5-1. Tying back to the PT, I don’t even cull my show ponies anymore, I chuck everything snipped into the barn and let it earn points. If you’re strapped for space, yes, higher PT and more starting points is what you want, but if you can just go for raw numbers by snipping some of your breeders, that’s a great strategy too. It’s more important to show everything consistently (either by premium or by hitting the show button every chance you get) than it is to hold off until you find the perfect PT.ID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines! I'm always selling straws and eggs from anything I have that catches your eye, don't hesitate to PM me and ask!

@lallyhop thank u hun that was kinda what I figured I browsed through some higher players barns and guessed that's what y'all were doing but wasn't exactly sure.
@fallenShadows714 thank u to hun sometime I feel like such a nube playing this game lol but I love that everyone is nice and never judgemental about questions -
I wouldn't waste money flushing her unless you have people wanting to buy her eggs. She's very pretty, but realistically she's an unpapered uneven g2/g3 with quality probably around the foundation level so may not be in great demand. But if you want the eggs for breed her line on yourself definitely do, or as others have said, collect an egg every 5 days and flush at the end of the season for the most amount of eggs. ET is expensive though, and unless you have lots of spare cash it's best reserved for those absolute faves!
