    Just bred this gelding and he looks like he is peals. He carries pearl but it's other in his name?

    I've had horses that carry pearl before (it's in their phenotype but not there color or visible on image) but this one's seems to actually have it just not listed in his color name

    I think it is the roan that you may be mistaking for pearl. On a horse with his genetics, you would need two copies of pearl to see it or have it in his name.

    Horses in this game get "Pearl" in their color name only if they are homozygous for Pearl or if they are Cream Pearl (buckskin pearl, palomino Pearl, smoky black pearl etc).

    i agree with High Five that you are seeing strawberry roan in the foal much more than any possible influence from a single copy of pearl.

    It's his mane and tail and how bright/light his base is that's giving him the pearl look. Think I'll name him something to do with strawberries since he's such a bright strawberry roan.

    And thanks best. Upset he was snipped but most of my crop this year has been.

New Genetics Guide!

Our brand new gene guide can be found in the "Resources" section of the navigation, or by clicking underlined genes on the gene testing results. Right now only scientifically documented genes have been added but I look forward to adding all our other genes very soon.

Barn expansions using DTs are now permanently half the price. Also, you can now reset your horse's "Foals this Season" count to zero using a DT. To celebrate both, DTs are 10% off for the next 10 days.

Golden Tokens have been renamed Diamond Tokens to prevent mixing them up with GMTs.

Double boosted over cap horses are now designated as ****Star or ****Gold, again to prevent further member confusion issues I have been seeing.
