Can/do adult horses stay in the pasture when breeding season is over or must there be space for them in the barn?

Adults stay, any foals will be auto sold back to game on the 28th I believe if they remain in pasture but the adults can stay in until they pass the pixel rainbow bridge if you so desireDabbler in EVERYTHING.
