Hey y'all,

So I lost my beloved and much cherished Dark Pearl (A papered gen 2 stallion) this season. He was an amazing sire for me and definitely an anchor sire for my lines. Not only was he an anchor sire, he was an integral part of my stallion culling process--my best gen 2s compared AGA him and my best gen 3s compared superior to him.

I suspect no one out there with a gen 2 A papered stallion will be willing to give them up, but just in case you're frustrated with a low intact rate, I'm VERY interested in acquiring a new gen 2 A and will pay handsomely for the opportunity. Willing to consider any color/pattern combination. Will pay even more for rare genes. Price would be on a sliding scale based on age, however, with a young stallion worth much more.

Failing that, I'm looking for a known low A papered gen 3 stallion (one that is AGA a high B) to be used for comparison purposes only. This stallion will likely be stood for public stud, not used by me as a breeding horse. Color is unimportant, but finding a youngish one would be helpful.

If you have the sort of stallion I am looking for, please let me know.

I bred this guy this week. He is a Buckskin Roan Pearl, passed GA, SAT, and is consistent. I have not PT or papered him yet. He is an even bred 2nd gen. His sire is my original foundation Pleasantly Grim who is C papered, and the dame is a Wet and Wild splash frame foundation.

Stunner, I am specifically looking for an A papered gen 2 (from one of the very rare boosted foundation clones that are B papered) or a known low A papered gen 3. An unpapered gen 2 is of no use to me. I appreciate the offer, but I really need serious inquiries here. I know I'm asking for a lot, but this will potentially save me tens of thousands of hbs in comparison testing costs with my homebred colts, or net me an incredibly rare and very high quality new stallion.

That horse is B papered. She has made it very clear she needs an A papered. It's best to read the post when offering horses for sale to others. :)

I understand that you, Cheers, are looking for an A papered stallion that is a 2nd generation. The uncertainty of finding exactly what you search for is there. That is why I only suggested my stallion Shoot to Thrill as a possiblity as you said you may go for a B papered stallion. I meant no offense by offering him, nor for me to appear ignorant.
If I did anything wrong, I sincerely apologize.

Stunner, where do you read that I'm open to a B? I've tried to be very clear in my original post, but as I say I'm quite jet lagged and not quite functioning at 100%. I am looking for a very specific paper and comparison level with this stallion--which is why trying to find it within my own herd will be quite expensive. In addition, I'm aware that finding a gen 2 A papered stallion for sale is highly unlikely, but if you don't ask the answer is always "no!"

I have an A papered 3G colt that compares AGA a very high B. I think that included one that tested AGA Hip Hop, but I'd have to check. I wasn't planning to sell him as he's my first (and only) A papered 3g at the moment, however if you don't find something suitable let me know and we might work out a deal.

You might be able to get Kintara or RoseFlute to sell you a clone.

Or some changes are coming in the next two months that will solve your problem. ;)
