How can I breed a 2g brindle foal?

    Hello, I'm just wondering, how do I breed a 2G brindle foal? Does it matter what parent is brindle ? I've tried so many times and nothing so far has been lucky , none of the foals have brindle and some end up having the Sooty gene , what do I do to breed a brindle? Thanks

    To breed a brindle you only need one thing: Luck.

    Breeding brindles to brindles may increase your chances by a miniscule amount, but thats about it.

    Brindle is a mutation, so it's extremely rare to inherit it.

    Also, you can get brindle foals from non-brindle parents, because it is a freak of nature type of thing.

    Look up "chimerism" or brindle horses on Google to learn more about it.

    It took me 9 months to breed my first and only brindle foal so far lol. Luck, like confluence said, is exactly what you need to breed one!

    If the brindles here are exclusively chimeras then I don't think it would be hereditary at all - just. The only thing I can think of is the possibility that whatever causes the event (fusing of two embryos) is more likely in some individuals than others, and part of that presisposition may be genetic.

    I've been on here for a year now and have not bred any of my own brindles. It's very difficult and I'll be sure to have a huge party when I do manage to produce my own brindle kid.

    However I do have a brindle stallion who has a brindle son, sadly I wasn't the one who got the luck of the draw.
    Imagine getting a brindle baby off of a public stud! Luck indeed (the colt is owed by ScarletGate and his name is "watch me movin" in case any one is curious about him)
