Changes to consistency?

Got a Very inconsistent foal this year. Is this new? Or have I just been blind the past couple years? That could definitely be it too. hahaAll into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.

I think it's always been around but very rarely pops up.

It's a sign that the horse has a very low breeding ability score, I believe.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Ok, thanks. Finally found the little one. At first I waned to think it linked to parent' breeding ability or something, but his pedigree... Line bred on What Was I Thinking (Yep... but this is how my bootstrap herd goes when I get one so much better than all my other boys). I am going to have to watch the mother though, as I was really hoping for more from here, being my first What was I thinking mare, but oh well. haha

Gene Guide Update!
The sunshine gene, previously known only from one line of Standardbreds has been discovered in a TWH. The gene guide has been updated with this new information. Sunshine may be much wider spread than originally thought.1/27/2026 3:58 AM EST
