Well, I bought this mare. She's gorgeous, and I'm hoping she'll get along well with my stallions. There's one problem. She hasn't been put through BA. I always test all my horses, but she's so pretty and an era 0. I bought another mare with her, and when I put her through BA, she got snipped. I'd hate for her to get snipped, but it annoys me when I look at her page and it says "Mare (untested)". Will somebody please give me some advice? Here's the mare:

This is a bootstrapped horse, meaning her father is vastly better than her mother. I’d say she has virtually no chance of passing BA. It is customary to not BA bootstrapped mares, but to BA all bootstrapped colts. One uses the gelded colts as show ponies and retains the mares to breed back to a similar quality stallion to their father.

@Cheers Thank you so much! I had virtually no idea how that worked, and honestly, in the beginning, I thought bootstrapped was a Rank Special, like Texas Tea, The Darkest Night, Fuel to the Fire, etc. =))

I have picked up a couple of bootstrap mares between accounts. I just run any tests they are missing other than ba and then turn testing off so I don't accidentally clip her. So far I've gotten good mommas.
