A Small, but Successful Season
-
So this year, I decided to forego bootstrapping. I tried it last year and while it was fun (and gave me a ton of beautiful show ponies), it ate up most of my barn space. This year I scaled things back and only breed evenly. I have a few mares left to go (but they're for straws/outside studs). I used all pastures this year and wanted to share a few of my faves!

KA Sentimental Blue 2g
KA Sentimental Gold 2g
KA Dark Heart 2g
Love this girl - good PT and color!
KA Sweet Memories 2g
KA Lion Heart 2g
This boy got gelded, but just look at that color! He was a cross between my Conversation Hearts stud and Hidden Gates mare.
Did you do something different with your breeding program this year? I'd love to see the results! -
I'm toying with the idea of not breeding at all this year on this account. At least, only producing eggs/straws/embryos and not the foals themselves, then producing ALL of my foals from "this season" on the very first available day of "next season" to max out the number of shows they can enter in a lifetime. Then create embryos throughout next season to do it again the following season.
XD I don't know if my self-control will hold out, though...ID: 45055
Once I have entered horses into the auction, I do not remove them. -
@Ragtatter that’s such a cool idea! If I had access to embryos I would love to try that. But I definitely struggle with self control, it was hard to not breed more foals this year!
