I'm needing money for 30 IVs, and 3 GMTs... I currently have about 205k, and a few horses lined up for an auction... But... I can't seem to get any extra money... If you have anything that might could help me, such as ideas, let me know... I have a couple RS horses and foundation horses I would be willing to sell for a fair price to help me, but... I just don't know what to do beyond this point... Please, help me...

Ok so when I need money fast. I sell rank specials or lined horses that I know will sell well. I have over 100 rank specials that I collect so that works for me.

Any stallions with good genes that I know I can get a decent price for I’ll advertise straws from.

Also get a whole pile of foals/breeding horses I’m happy to part with and link them and post a notice in sales saying to make an offer.

No, not really. The colt I need the GMTs for is only 2, but I'd like them before he's 3. I'd like to use him next month, but it's not a huge issue.
And I was hoping to have the 30 IVs as soon as possible, so I don't use the money before I get them, but it's no big deal, either...

Thanks for the tips. I have offered straws in another discussion for all my available stallions, but got nothing. Lol.
I'm working on getting a mound of foals very soon, but it's gonna take a bit, as I am low on funds.

Spry, if I were you with 205k, I'd spend 150k of it on IVs to get started on that goal so you can't forget and spend it elsewhere, then breed your mares when pastures open.

At 500hbs a piece to breed foals and 2500 minimum price in auction when you sell the foals, you can make a nice profit off all those broodmares you have. If you breed 25 mares and do only breeding advice on the foals before auctioning, you can make 50k profit off of a crop of 25 foals. Buy three IVs and use the rest to breed 25 more mares, then do it again. :)

Since you have time i would sell first then use the create breed auction method as a back up :D

That actually is a good idea. I usually try to do that, but I get caught up in everything. Lol.

I certainly plan to sell what I have to sell, I just have to figure out what all I have to sell. Lol.

June, you also have 62 intact horses, and 14 spay/geld (aka show) horses, and while some of your breeding stock has over 100 total show points, the majority does not.

The general reccomendation is 1 breeding horse for every 3 spay/gelded show horses.

Oh wow. I didn't even realize I had that many intact! I know I have several for showing that passed BA, but I didn't even realize what I had going on. I'm definitely gonna be going through my horses! Lol
