Black Pearl Appaloosa? Filly looks some kind of chestnut?

Sadly she was spayed, but her color says Black Pearl, but she isn't black, not even close? Is this a bug or is it just the genes coming together weird?Thanked by 1Dinascar -

Pearl is part of the "cream" complex and therefore lightens up the coat. This is my "black" liver boy, who is hom pearl. Before I gmted him that way, he really was black!

I was a little surprised to end up with two Buckskin Pearls this month. They're homozygous for sooty, which I think makes them look exceptionally... pink?

Golden Tokens have been renamed Diamond Tokens to prevent mixing them up with GMTs. Double boosted over cap horses are now designated as ****Star or ****Gold, again to prevent further member confusion issues I have been seeing.
