I know, I know, pasture breeding isn't even open, but I couldn't help myself - I have two nice 2nd generation horses that I thought might make a nice match, so I hand bred them as soon as I could, and sure enough, I think their filly is perfect (even if the appy skipped right over her):

I have two. :D My first two of the season were embryos that I created last season. I cant believe what great luck. Two hom SNF fillies. Yay.

My Snowflake colts are now old enough to try out. There may be a lot of Snowflakes in my barn this month. Plan to have even more in April cuz my first Snf fillies will come of age. :D

These are my my first foal and my first intact foal (though I chose to geld the first), I'm trying to show restrant as most of my mares are in pasture, there just wasn't enough room for a couple so I hand bred them. These are the resulting foals, I'm pretty happy with them.
First the gelding, who is liver chestnut tobiano splash frame appaloosa

I've bred two so far, happy with one, not so much with the other.

Happy with how this fella is at the moment, just got to test him aga benchmark. If he fails, I'm going to snip and keep! Unfortunately missed out on a copy of snowflake.

Semi happy, but kinda disappointed with this girl. Past BA but papered yellow, so trying to decide to sell or snip. She also missed out on a copy of snowflake :B

My favorite so far is this lady for my bootstrap show line. (I have a couple more straws from this stallion but I'm hoarding them until I can breed to a silver mare!)

I normally don't do a lot of hand breeding but I had planned on doing some just to give myself a better look at my breeding program. Last season I hand bred this guy.

WO5 Infernos Flash
The way I work my program is that every stallion has to compare superior to sir or they get snipped. Seeing a star papered stallion by gen5 was nice. I only keep B papered gen2, and then gen3 and gen4 I allow both to be A so long as they still compare superior. I purposely hand bred Flashes sir to my other 4th gen girls just to see if I could get an idea of the range of my 4th gen group. I got these three that stayed intact.

Out of 6 foals this season 3 got altered but even those three have really nice PT scores and should make for great show horses. I'm really happy to see the little A papered colt compared AGA his star papered brother. Looks like I know who will be herd sir and who will be his back up.

I might geld him though as he didn't get many of the genes I had hoped from his dad. Although he does have sty+ and is beautiful :X

I'm really happy with this cutie! 12.2 hands and flaxen! I love dramatic flaxen in livers so I'm glad she got that.

NOOOOO, this filly got snipped. :( I remember a while back seeing a flaxen black liver roan and going :wow, I want that". Finally get one and she doesn't make it.
