This past summer, I was diagnosed with breast cancer — something that, sadly, one in eight women will face in their lifetime. As I continue through treatment, I wanted to create something that would honor the strength of those who have battled cancer before me, those still fighting, and the loved ones who care for them with such unwavering devotion.

From that wish, the Rosavelle breed was born. Its name joins two elements:

“Rose” — a timeless symbol of beauty, love, and strength, often reflecting both fragility and resilience.

“Velle” — a Latin word meaning “to will” or “to wish.”

Together, Rosavelle embodies “the will to endure, the wish for healing, and the quiet beauty found in perseverance.”

The Rosavelle stands as a tribute to courage and grace — a living symbol of hope and renewal, reminding us that even after the harshest storms, new blooms can rise.

There are no size, weight, or color restrictions for the Rosavelle, because each one reflects the individuality and beauty of every journey.

My first addition to this breed is Renascent.

Renascent — “to rise anew.”
A name that captures renewal, strength, and the quiet power of starting again — a tribute to the enduring spirit of hope at the heart of every Rosavelle.

Renascent’s color reflects how cancer has reshaped my life. His fractured coat tells the story of a journey still in progress—gathering shattered pieces, mending what can be restored, and weaving in new fragments of strength, hope, and quiet renewal.
