Rollover woes

I’m so sad! One of my absolute favorite stallions passes away at rollover- he turned 18 at rollover. I didn’t realize they could go at rollover when turning 18, I thought I’d have a final season so I didn’t pull straws :(( Awful, terrible learning experience. It hasn’t hit me yet that he’s gone and I won’t have any more foals from him. I was focused on pulling straws from another stallion who was turning 19.

He threw me such amazing babies. He was bred by pestilenttempest and sold to me, where he sired a good chunk of my upcoming breeding stock. I have a young stallion by him that I was planning to just put up for breeding (VGN Mokele R) but I think I will try to raise enough money to max him out instead.

Gene Guide Update!
The sunshine gene, previously known only from one line of Standardbreds has been discovered in a TWH. The gene guide has been updated with this new information. Sunshine may be much wider spread than originally thought.1/27/2026 3:58 AM EST
