I am wondering if basic players can access the name generator?

You can use the bulk rename at the bottom of your barn page. I highly suggest seeking it out and playing with it. Don't forget @* is the code for a random word.

Golden Tokens have been renamed Diamond Tokens to prevent mixing them up with GMTs.

Double boosted over cap horses are now designated as ****Star or ****Gold, again to prevent further member confusion issues I have been seeing.
