    Her sire is A papered and dam blue papered. Why did she paper this way and from which one?

    I am thinking I am going to have to look at every horse I have and see how their linkage is. I don't mind altered foals if I understand the why on them.

    My dancer and Joey lines are my most loved by me. I am having a hard time figuring out why breeding in barn is making most of my foals altered.

    is the best place to start is just looking at paper level lineage and altering on that till I am down to just mares and studs that grew in paper lineage.

    I'm thinking that the stallion is a low A, and both threw their lowest scores. Might be wrong on this, but it's probably just bad luck.

    How does one tell if they are low mid or high? I am not the best in this.

    The best way is to compare their average foal PT score to others of their paper level. You usually have to wait until they have been bred several times to get an idea of their relative ranking for their paper results.

    Using the Comparison Test with stallions is a big help for them, but we don't have the equivalent for mares.

    Just bad luck, sometimes horses throw foals better than themselves, sometimes worse

    Each horse has a range of possible breeding outcomes - sometimes it's better than them, sometimes the same as them, and sometimes much worse than them. Even great breeders can throw crappy foals. Unless a horse is consistently throwing crap, I wouldn't worry. And altered foals aren't necessarily bad - they may be great showers, so don't judge a breeder's ability based solely on how many foals they have left intact.

Golden Tokens have been renamed Diamond Tokens to prevent mixing them up with GMTs.
