Trouble
-
How does a horse get into trouble in this game?
-
As far as my understanding goes, it is completely random which horse gets in trouble while we are away and how much the damage will cost.
I think Ammit even held a thread on HJ1 for members to contribute ideas on how the horse went a-muck without supervision and these ideas would be used in the future to satisfy our curiosity. I can just about imagine my horses eating away at the pixel hitching rail or returning from the field in a ravaged blanket, lol. Gotta love 'em. :) -
It is definitely not completely random. ;) Damages tell you something.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

Oh! Even better! Maybe the damage says something about the horses personality. I will have to keep a lookout on this. Thank you Ammit! :)

I think it has something to do with breeding ability. The tale I've heard from players who have been around in the beginning is that damages came into the game before GA and SAT and the other tests to help players weed out the dud breeders. I've also heard that damages could be enormously high in those days, too.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

I guess I'll have to start paying attention to my trouble makers then lol. I always thought it was random too!
-
I remember way back when I was in Shoco, before it was WHG, some of the damages could be higher. I think I remember some around 20 show bucks. But I might be mistaken on that, it has been a long time then.
-
Oh, heavens, some of the HJ horses would get hundreds of hbs worth of damage in one go! Easily 1-300. I will have to try and remember if it affected showing, or breeding, or both. When Shoco started we had damages as well, but those 'negative' points were turned into positive points for Rodeo Bronc classes. The more 'rank' a bronc was the better! (That might be my clue about whether it was showing or breeding)

I had one on here that did around 300 hbs of damage in one week. She was a foundation that got snipped by MA, and she wasn't a great shower. I didn't know if it was an intentional thing or a glitch, but I yummed her. I didn't want to afflict that aggravation on anyone else.Thanked by 1Ritsika
