Grey trait that's a little strange

I found a horse where it's more visible to show, now.
On gray horses, the muzzle turns black with age, even if there's a white marking that covers the muzzle. If a horse has white legs, the hooves remain light even as they gray out.
This horse has a white marking that covers the muzzle but you can see the muzzle in progress of turning black.
