Question about Gene licenses

Does anyone know like I know sometimes you can get the gene license when you put the Jean on a foundation horse if you were to say completely wipe out all of your horses say in a must sell out or if your account goes dormant for a little while and they all just age out would you lose your Gene licenses especially because you no longer have the foundation horse they were on?
I'm just curious about that -
You don't lose the licenses if a horse dies. If you have one copy of Onyx on a foundation horse and you gift that horse to someone else through RAoG, you lose your license for Onyx and have to add it on another horse to get it back (or purchase the breeding license separately).
