Black seas they can be not black in color?

Okay so I have a horse that I generated from a rank special and it was black seas I'm just curious that it didn't come out black and kind of confused

Your horse is Hom for black, that's E/E, But she also has 2 cream genes. Cream (Cr) and pearl (Prl). Either of those will make her smokey, but you can really see them when they double up like that.45120
