The pain of gelding advice
  • I had several 2 and 3 year olds that I wanted to keep intact so bad. I finally bit the bullet and ALL were gelded. The pain is real right now.

I'm just going to take a moment of silence to deal with the cold hard truth of breeding pretty but unworthy stallions.

On a plus side My showpony herd is now large enough for me to focus on actual breeding projects soon!

I'm going to dedicate a project to making foals like this boy. My absolute favorite colt I've ever bred.

I am very forgetful so if I owe you anything but am taking to long please send me a PM. I don't get on to play the game as often as I once did but I am usually most active during the 2nd and 3rd week of each month
  • I hear you Color, I do a lot of leaving intact for the pretty factor. Then I never breed them, and geld anyway when they are 5 or 6 years old. I am still going through gelding every season, when I want a change from breeding for a while. I just gelded some that were 8 years old yesterday!
  • Haha wow that's a long time to wait! But I don't blame you. The colt above is one that I kept intact until today. I actually bred hime this year too :\ I just couldn't resist. He produced a daughter who is super pretty, so at the worst I'll end up with another flashy showpony with questionable parents.
