How to upload photos to a forum post?

How do I upload a photo/file from my computer to a forum post/comment?
I click on the photo tab, and it gives me a code. I copy the file name into the code. The result is just a box with a question mark inside:
The files are .jpg and .png, and I am uploading from a Mac.
Any help is greatly appreciated!ID 58328 -
You need to upload the photos to an online portal, like imgur. Then add that URL to the code :)
