Gelding
-
I know gelding advice sorts the breeders out and gelding significantly helps those inferior boys show. But does gelding a stud who passed gelding advice boost his showing ability? Same for mares. Trying to decide if better to geld and keep boys or leave intact and keep or just sell. I have too many stallions i will never use.

Altering any horse boosts the training ability. :)

It affects training, so it will have the greatest impact on young horses with high PTs and a minimal impact on older horses that have leveled off...or that is my understanding! That said, I tend to sell or alter stallions I'm not going to use for breeding just so i don't have to wade through them on the search page....Thanked by 1RoseFlute
