What type mares should I use?!

    I have these two new boys and realized i have no idea what type mares i want to breed them to! I'm thinking Extremism needs dun mares for his DFP1, but other than that, I'm at a loss. I only have about 25 mares with dun, so I'll need ideas for the other 25 or so mares he gets. And Nyx needs some extra special love because he's from my summer Santa and he's just absolute perfection! So, What kind of mares would you use if they were yours?

    Chinchilla, nexus, satin, and nacre are gorgeous together, even watercolor, plaid, or wrong warp is beautiful, but that might get cost prohibitive. I've pulled these examples from Bluegrass as I know a couple of the stables that have a good selection of these types. Hopefully, this isn't too image heavy for you. I saw all kinds of neat ones searching this, every time I thought I was done another cool one would load! :))

    I don't do nexus, satin, nacre, watercolor, plaid, or wrong warp. I should have said the only genes i have are macchiato, mushroom, chinchilla and oynx.

    For both of them I might try to stay away from patterns that would obscure the coat like roan, Lp, and high white factor since DFP1 seems to be a more subtle gene. If you have mushroom, incorporating that into Extremism's progeny might be a fun project! The flaxen liver mushrooms are so pretty. For Nyx - silver and chinchilla is always a gorgeous combo. You could also think about getting some mares with pearl or cream to go with the copy of pearl that Nyx has.

Golden Tokens have been renamed Diamond Tokens to prevent mixing them up with GMTs.
