Small, inexpensive gifts for boarders?
-
So its a super long story, but last Sunday I put in my two weeks at my job. I am a barn manager at a casual local boarding facility. I am firm that I am done and that I made the right decision, but it was a very difficult choice for me to make. I love my job, love it. Many tears were shed making this choice.
ANYWAYS, I want to make a little parting gift for the boarders. I need it to be something inexpensive since I am about to be unemployed and there's a fair amount of boarders. I would also like for it to be customized if I can. I am already getting any photos I have taken of their horses in the past couple years printed out and given to them. But I just want to do a little something else.
I love these horses like they are my own, I've spent nearly every day with them for the past couple years. I know them all like the back of my hand, and most I will likely never see again after the 21st. -
Aww that is hard. It's so great to have a community you love at work.
Maybe get some small wooden horse cutouts from a craft store and paint them for each boarder? My sister and I did that a few years ago and they make nice Christmas ornaments or name plaques for stalls or tack areas. They don't even have to be painted with the horses' markings. My sister's has palm trees on it and mine has hot air balloons.
Best of luck finding a new job!ID 43830
It's nice to be back! :)

For Christmas this year the barn I board at just made up a little goodie bag of miscellaneous horse treats like baby carrots, a small apple, soft peppermints, and cookies...it was a great idea because who doesn't want to spoil their pony with yummies? Super easy and inexpensive too!BREEDING DARKNESS (ok black liver but it sounds cooler)
