"Please do not clone descendants"
-
Sorry, another topic. I keep discovering next interesting things in this game...
I was looking at a horse's pedigree (it was not my horse) when I saw that this horse's dam has a note (in the pedigree) like "Please do not clone descendants". I have seen some horses with this note. I just would like to know why do they have it.understand the significance of signatures -
I have seen that before also. I wonder if it is because they have a limited edition gene? Not sure.SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES

That is something that has been in the game for a long time, but I'm not sure exactly how to start it in a line.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

How do you set the name of a horse to it's ID number?
-
On the control panel, where you can change a horse's name, you can enter it's ID number, which is found below its name on the info tab, in place of the name is has at present.
Just as pasture foals are identified by their ID number until you give them a real name, so, you can enter the ID number in place of the name of a horse whose descendants you don't want to be cloned. This might be done for horses with limited edition genes--private ice versions, snowflake obsidian--or horses that have been kept in-house except for a few rare exceptions, just for instance.De gustibus non disputandum. Oh ok. I do that for my mares because I have so many I don't name them all. I only name my stallions and maybe a few mares who happen to stand out. It's just easier to use the ID number to identify them.
