Just as a note for your future Nexus breeding: the darker the “real” color under the nexus, the lighter the Nexus Base color will be. The lighter the real color, the darker the Nexus Base will be.

So, black horses have a pale grey base when Hom Nexus, like this:

Black Tobiano, so the horse shows grey where it would have been black and black where the white markings would have been

If you go the other way, this horse is a palomino pearl. As you can see, he’s a deep navy blue base color with a little bit of black splash markings mixed in.
