Question. Horses not being picked up after auction.

    How long should you wait after an auction has been won for the highest bidder to pick up the horse?

    For the public auction house, the horse should be automatically transferred at the end of the auction. If you have noticed they aren't being moved, make a post in the bug section of the forum and Ammit should be able to check to see what is going on. :)

    As far as a private forum auction, I would think that a week is an acceptable amount of time, however, shoot the winner a pm to make sure they remember they had a winning bid.

    Sometimes real life gets in the way.
    But a PM is really good as a lot of the time people can forget what they have bid on :)

    After a few days I message them just reminding them. If there’s still no contact a few days later I will message them again generally saying if they don’t pick up the horse then I’ll be relisting it.

    I’ll also be less willing to hold horses in future for people that back out of sales.

    But depends on your barn space etc. most of the time I have the room to hold the horse up to a week but do prefer them to be picked up within 48hours.

    If I need the horse gone I’ll make a note in the auction ad saying must be picked up within 24hours of auction end or something :)

    There should be a little speech bubble at the top right of the forum page. Although I usually change over to the full site when I send a pm then close the app to go back to the mobile after.

    On mobile site you click on inbox up the top. That’s your personal messages. Top right there will be a speech bubble. Click on that and go from there :)
    You need to be in your messages though otherwise it will just start a discussion.

Gene Guide Update!

The sunshine gene, previously known only from one line of Standardbreds has been discovered in a TWH. The gene guide has been updated with this new information. Sunshine may be much wider spread than originally thought.

New Genetics Guide!

Our brand new gene guide can be found in the "Resources" section of the navigation, or by clicking underlined genes on the gene testing results. Right now only scientifically documented genes have been added but I look forward to adding all our other genes very soon.
