Lucky Liver Stud Create

    I have been hoping for a decent foundation liver stud for a while and lucked out creating this handsome fella today using an ExProd Appy HH.
    I am trying to decide if he should be my first GMT project or if I should leave him as is. Would like him to be Hom DP (I love me them black livers!) but am thinking I should just wait for my first Freaky Friday instead of wasting tokens.

    If you guys had him what would you do?

    One day I would love a few flaxen black liver with mushroom foundations so I can join the fun in creating a RMH-esqe line with black coats and super pale manes and tails.

    Very lucky, I think he's gorgeous as is. I've made a couple of ExPer foundation livers but they're always mares lol

    Well, let's look at a few points:

    This guy is Exeptional while FF are Perfect breeding ability (50 - 200 IV to boost)

    This guy does not have Frame, while FF are Hom frame (only important if you dont want frame)

    The next Friday the 13th is next month

    Adding 1 DP costs 10 GMT, removing 2 Olw costs 2 GMT + 1 GMT to remove E if your FF comes out black

    Conclusion: it would be cheaper to wait for the FF, unless you wanted a B papered liver stud, in which case, it'd be cheaper to add DP to the ExPro boy than it would be Boosting the FF & potentially removing E + Olw.

    Personally, I'd GMT him and make the FF a filly, but i hope this list of points helps you decide.

    I think it will be at least a year till the next freaky friday, so you may want to gmat this guy. He will be aging out about the time friday the 13th comes again if the calendars I have been looking at are correct.
    All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.

Gene Guide Update!

The sunshine gene, previously known only from one line of Standardbreds has been discovered in a TWH. The gene guide has been updated with this new information. Sunshine may be much wider spread than originally thought.
