awards and breeder clubs
-
looking for info on these two items
Breeders clubs - what are the purpose
awards - how do we get them? where are the FAQ about awards? -
You have to be in the Breeders Club to obtain awards. While awards don't come with any outward rewards it's just like in the real world if a horse earns awards it brings prestige to the barn and can also cause desirability for your lines to increase. FAQS is currently in a state of under construction but @ConfluenceFarms is actively working on getting it up to dateDabbler in EVERYTHING.

Awards are given on the 28th of the month. Until then the boards are in flux (after that as well, but the main point is that changes can be made right up until the point awards are given out by people registering their horses in the clubs).
Horses must be color tested to be registered and then they are only registerable in up to 4 clubs, however if they eligible for more, you can decide which ones they go into. The awards only go out if a category fills (25 entries) and awards only go out to 8th place I think (10th maybe?). Most of the categories are pretty self explanatory, but for the top producers it’s based on the quality of the foals produced. Stallions have to have at least 10 living foals, at least one in this or the previous season, mares at least 3 with one in this or the previous. Only the best foals count towards the top producer awards, so there is no reason to get rid of inferior foals if you don’t want to (they can make great show ponies).
In general the color boards are dominated by older players with long established high generation herds. The era boards are around specifically to give younger players a place on the playing field. Horses inherit the oldest (lowest) era in their pedigree, and older players tend to breed from older era stock. Younger players are likely to have mostly horses with new eras and therefore have a good chance at locking in places in the newer Era leader boards.Thanked by 1CeffylDwr -
They go up to 10th place. And even though I am a new account I have awards from my bootstrap stallions and by showing your horses you can get on the most points board quite easily. It's fun :)Breeding Tiny Bootstraps
PM me if you ever fancy any of my stock. Always got good (small) bootstrap studs.
