Inbreeding penalty?

Is there a penalty in inbreeding in this game, if you keep your breedings even?
Let's say you bred siblings to siblings for generations. That would be a problem in real life, but does it matter in the game? -

The way an old Appy breeder once explained it to me, it's only inbreeding if it doesn't work. If you get nice foals, you're just following the time-honored tradition of line breeding to set characteristics. :D~*~ Justa ~*~

This game is actually a good illustration of the way you can set type by outcrossing too, if it's easy enough to sift through large numbers of breeding prospects.

Inbreeding has very little effect in real life. It's way over hyped. I chose not to add it to the game because I did not feel like it added any play value to do so. :)>-Need to contact me? Not to mention we don't have a few other "bad" genes floating around. The only ones are frame, Kit genes and Splash 2 and 3. For example, blue eyes don't cause issues with sight in this game, nor does silver have any bad effect on game horses like it can in real life.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

Golden Tokens have been renamed Diamond Tokens to prevent mixing them up with GMTs. Double boosted over cap horses are now designated as ****Star or ****Gold, again to prevent further member confusion issues I have been seeing.
