Is there a way I can remove roaning through GMT? :) Thanks

Yes, you just have to change the Kitr to something else (unless the horse you want to un-roan is lined and it's parent was homozygous roan). Some of the Kit alleles are expensive for foundations, but I believe that regular Kit is 1 GMT, and Sb1 W1 W2 and tobi are 2 GMTs. If the horse is lined (and the parent was heterozygous roan) it will cost 1 GMT to switch the Kitr for the parent's other Kit allele.

Yes, assuming your horse meets certain criteria.

To GMT all horses must already be color tested.

For a foundation, they must be 4 or less and unbred. Then you can change any gene. Roan is on the Kit gene. You can change it back to nothing, or change it to another Kit gene like tobiano or white.

For any horse from a later gen, you can only change the gene to something that parent already has but the foal didn't get--you can't add in new stuff. When you look at a foal gene test, the sire's contribution of that gene is on the left, the mare's on the right.

Can someone also tell me how much it might cost to take the Rabicano off of her? I can't pull it up anymore.

Rab costs 2 GMT per copy. Please don't though! If you just want a brown mare, create one from a perfect foundation! I will buy your special mare from you for 100k! Shoot, I will create you a perfect foundation brindled brown and give it to you as well as buying your Yule Log!

I would agree to that! Haha I don't breed for rabicano, sadly :( and I try to be very strict on my breeding so that I don't end up with a bazillion horses that I can't handle. So that is the only reason I was going to take it off of her.. because I really liked her otherwise. but if you want her as is, and would love her more than I would, then I will make that trade with you! :)

Unless there is a way to breed her so the rabicano doesn't pass on. I had my boyfriend spend money on a GMT for me, to take the roan off... bless his heart. Haha so now she has a weird sentiment value to her... er. What to do what to do. ;-;
