All horses will be at least heterozygous (Ee) for the black gene, but some horses may also be homozygous for the black gene. Possible colors include black, bay, brown, buckskin, silver, perlino etc. Horses might be solid or patterned.

Gene Guide Update!
The sunshine gene, previously known only from one line of Standardbreds has been discovered in a TWH. The gene guide has been updated with this new information. Sunshine may be much wider spread than originally thought.1/27/2026 3:58 AM EST
