The list of forum discussions that ParadisePark has pointed you to should be a good resource, and you'll probably find plenty of answers there to the asked and unasked questions you have.

I sympathize with your desire to know everything about the game, but may I suggest having patience with yourself as you learn it? Hunt and Jump is amazingly complex and there's no harm in playing with what you know now, while gradually absorbing other things while you play.

When I first found a notice about this game way back in 2010, I felt rather intimidated just reading about it, so I pointed my daughter, whose bachelor degree is in Biology and who had long loved genetics, to it. Then I sat watching over her shoulder as she played the game for eight months (!) before I decided I was ready to get my own account. :D (Note: I'm reasonably intelligent and well educated, but my daughter is smarter.)

Even now, seven years since I started playing HaJ1 and just over five years since I added HaJ2 to my gaming, I still occasionally run up on something that I don't know or don't know fully, or have a mistaken notion about. Ammit quite often comes along to correct me when I think I have explained something, and I'm always thankful when she does.

There is a sizable number of players who have basically tossed out all the horses in their stable and started over either as they have learned more about the game or when they have decided to set up a new and completely different goal for themselves. There's no stigma to doing this. It's just one more way of playing the game.
