Lethal Genes?
-
Im fairly new, and haven't quite gotten the hang of the genetics yet. I have a stallion, he's gorgeous but the first two times I bred him the foals ended up dying.
Can anyone tell me if he has any bad genes? Im curious if it was him or just the mares I bred him to.
Id also like to know the lethal genes just so I can look out for them in the future.

He has frame and white 1, both are lethal when combined with like genes. When a foal dies from lethal genes, it is 99% of the time a combination of both parents. Which mares did you breed him to?
There is a really good post on lethal genes. I'll try to find it and link it for you.#28036 -
This post will help you figure out which genes are safe and which are not. If you still have questions, just ask. :)
