Why do some mares breed and some don't?

Hi,
I'm new to this game, I've put 8 mares in the paddock with the stallion but only 4 are able to breed. All are of breedable age and not spayed. Is there something I'm missing here???

Welcome, rainbowvalley!
Just had a quick look in your paddock and I think I see the problem :) Two mares are 3 years old and the breeding age for mares is 4 years. Also, the two 4 year olds have had foals this year. While they didn't have any foals of their own as they have no offspring under family, it is listed on their main profile that they each had a foal this year (just under their birthday). I believe this means they were used as the surrogate in an embryo transfer breeding. Hope this helps!

Golden Tokens have been renamed Diamond Tokens to prevent mixing them up with GMTs. Double boosted over cap horses are now designated as ****Star or ****Gold, again to prevent further member confusion issues I have been seeing.
