Secret Santa is a gift exchange run by players who volunteer their services to organize the event. Probably around November 24 a post will go up offering players the chance to sign up for one of two groups. One group gives game gifts (horses, barns, hbs, etc.) up to 100,000 hbs in value. The second group can spend over 100,000 hbs. You sign up by sending a PM to the organizer saying which group you wish to participate in and listing things you would like to receive and things you really don't want. You may sign up for both groups if your stable can afford to do so.

The organizers sort things out and about mid-December, all those who have signed up will receive the name and wish list of another player in that group.

Then the shopping fun begins, as we try to find gifts for each other. There is an Elf who helps answer questions, send anonymous gifts before the time set when Secret Santa's can reveal who they are (usually Dec. 23 or 24).

There is a thread here for players who are interested in being organizers or elves. These players do not participate in the gift exchange. Keep your eyes peeled for the post announcing that Secret Santa is open for signing up. It will be full of details about how to do this.
