There are two (basic) ways, auction and straight sale.
For auction you can go to A. The public auction page, click "enter a horse" and select the horse from the drop down. Or B. Go to the horses page and to the control tab, click "auction this horse" and it'll be entered.
For straight sale go to the horses page and to the control tab. I'm the right there should be a box with 2500 in it and a button to the side/botton that says "sell horse" you can adjust the price if you like. To remove it put the price as 0 and click "sell" again

In this game selling horses is not the best way to make money. All of us are busily creating horses and breeding foals in our own accounts.

If you want to make money, you need to seek out established show horses (or even intact ones) that have been training long enough to have gathered a good number of the points that are awarded for where they have placed in their classes.

Three quarters of the total points collected by all your horses is awarded to your hajibuck account each week, in daily installments, so you will get one seventh of your total points added to your bank roll every night.
