Thinking on creating my own breed! Id love to know if the name is appropriate!

    My barn name is DivineDreams. I would love other players opinions and if my ideas would be appropriate,

    Or
    DivineBreds

    Any other suggestions would be great!

    I would say DivineBred, just because Blood is easy to confuse with gore instead of heritage. :P You could even shorten it to Divine, but then the implication would be that your horses just are Divine, and that could be confusing for new players.

    You could try something like Celestial Equus

    Celestial-a synonym for Divine and Equus-Latin for horse
    Or use something like Latin in general
    Pure Blood-Sanguinis Pura
    DivineBloods-Divina Sanguine

    I would personally (its what I did) is just to take part of your user. i.e Divine

    So it would sound like Divine Warmbloods, Divine Sport Ponys, Divine Drafts

    You could also translate the word Divine into different languages and choose the one that you think sounds the best.

    I like your idea. That said, I would probably shorten to just Divine or possibly to "Dreamy"...

    DivineBlood warmblood or DivineBlood riding pony sounds a little off to me. It works, however, to my ear, if it's DivineBlood Drafts or DivineBlood Cobs. I have the same issue with DivineBred.

    Just Divine or Dreamy works for me with all of the possible size names,

    But, this is just from my ear and you should go with whatever you like the best! The most important thing is that you not use a name that is already a real world breed name or something like that.

    Divine breaks the rules and would be removed. Dreamy is also not acceptable. Common English words, locations etc are not allowed for breed names as they tend to cause issues and confusion.

    Translating divine into Finnish would give you jumallisia. So the breed name could be Jumallisian, which isn't too hard to say.

    @ OakCreek, Fire and Ice is three words and they are extremely common English words at that. You could speak of a Fire and Ice line in the forum, or put it in your notes, but if you are selecting a breed name that will go on every horse you create or breed, the rules are very strict and are spelled out clearly on the page where you create your breed name.

    Here is what the rules have to say.
    While you are allowed to select your breed name of choice, it is very important that breed names are appropriate to the game. Names like the Best, Perfect or Champion are not appropriate. Neither is the name of any real breeds of horses or the names of any countries, or real geographic areas. You change your breed name at your own risk. If it is deemed inappropriate it will be changed. For example "Unicorn Warmbloods" is highly inappropriate, however "Re'em Warmbloods" (a biblical term for unicorn) would be acceptable. Change this at your own risk. If you name is inappropriate it will be changed for you and you will not be refunded your change cost. Names must be one word, capitalized, and four or more letters long.

    For me, I researched a bit into obsidian and turns out there was a roman dude name obsidianus who gave his name to volcanic glass and called it lapsi obsidianus.

    I do suggest looking into other languages, like SandyCreek said. Especially Finnish.....looked at a page for translation of divine into different words and man does Finland have a lot that could do for it.
